We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your Nautir account and what happens to your data.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the Nautir app:
- Open the Nautir app
- Go to Settings (tap the gear icon)
- Scroll to the bottom
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision
Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately.
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:
- Send an email to [email protected]
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the email address associated with your Nautir account
- We will verify your identity and process your request within 48 hours
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your Nautir account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Profile information — display name, bio, preferences, and settings
- Photos — all profile photos you uploaded
- Matches and conversations — all chat history and connections
- Sailing memberships — your association with any sailings
- Reactions and likes — all swipe history
- Account credentials — your login information
This action is permanent
Account deletion cannot be undone. If you want to use Nautir again, you'll need to create a new account.
Data Retention
After account deletion:
- Immediate deletion: Your profile, photos, matches, and personal data are deleted immediately.
- Backup systems: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before automatic purging.
- Legal requirements: We may retain certain data if required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).
- Anonymized data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot identify you may be retained.
